Lotti & Maxim Montessori's History
Founded by Judit Kun, Lotti & Maxim Montessori School opened its doors in the fall of 2014 as a small Montessori daycare in downtown Budapest. From its humble beginnings with just a few children aged two to six, the institution has grown into a thriving Montessori community with three campuses: Buda, Pest, and Kecskemét.
- Buda Campus – Located on a beautiful 2.5-hectare park in Hárshegy, surrounded by ancient trees, this campus houses both a kindergarten and an elementary school, serving children from toddler age through eighth grade. Built in 1962 specifically for educational purposes, the campus also features a standard sports hall.
- Pest Campus – Situated in the heart of the city on Egyetem Square, this campus is housed in the historic building that once served as the Capital Pedagogical Institute, named after renowned psychologist and educator Ferenc Mérei.
- Kecskemét Campus – This campus is located in a Hungarian Art Nouveau villa built in 1923. Operating as a kindergarten since 1942, the villa was entrusted to our institution by the city of Kecskemét to provide a Montessori kindergarten where English is the primary language of instruction.
